LONELINESS

Days filled with loneliness,
sometimes I just can't see.
Why my heart must feel like this,
my life it cannot be.

I know it won't be this way forever,
it's just that way today.
Sometimes it's hard to understand,
I just want to run away.

Your heart I take with me,
to try to show me the way.
Sometimes I just don't like it,
to have to wait another day.

Often we take for granted,
the other will be there.
One day, God may not see it that way,
cause life just isn't fair.

So as these lonely nights get colder,
I'm wishing you were here.
I need you laying beside me,
to wipe away my fear.

I know right now I sound so negative,
don't worry, it is something from my past.
I know this love we have for you each other,
is a love thats going to last.
