I Seek The Darkness

I seek the darkness to unwind
trying to leave your love behind.
Instead, I find myself echoing your name,
and wondering why I'm always to blame.

I try to find peace somewhere
but this life shows me none.
Within this darkness
my heart and soul feel bare.

Stripped clean with whispers of heartache
from a love that I'm afraid is ending wrong.
A mind now blank within my stare
for with your love is where I know I belong.

Within my darkness I try to unwind
but somewhere inside I search my mind.
To find a reason I can't let go,
the reason why I just don't know.
