My Butterflies
The butterflies that once flew
around in my mind.
No longer there
for me to find.
They seem to have hidden
a lifetime away.
I hope they come back
to me one day.
My beautiful butterflies
come back to me.
Without you,
my life I can't see.
You were my only hope
left here inside my mind.
Please don't leave me
here behind.
Come back my butterflies
so I may see life shine.
If you don't
I will be forever lost
in a world unkind.
