Forever Gone From My Dreams

I no longer see you in my dreams,
your memories gone away.
Your voice left too it seems,
I never thought I'd make it to this day.

I do not hear your gentle voice,
forever stinging in my mind.
No longer do I weep
when your love I cannot find.

I have stopped reaching out
to hold you near me.
Remembering when you held me so close,
intoxicated with the love I thought I could see.

Knowing all the time it would end,
and you’d be forever gone from my dreams.
As your beautiful memories fade,
within the back of my mind, so far away it seems.
