It Wasn't A Dream

Last night I saw you
I thought it was a dream.
I opened up my eyes
and I found you there.

I moved closer to you,
for I needed your touch upon my skin.
To feel your arms around me,
while you hold me safe within my dreams.

I needed to hear you breathe
softly within my ear.
I needed to know
you were real and not just a dream.

As you awoke you kissed me,
gently upon my cheek.
And when you said "I love you baby"
I knew then it wasn't a dream.
