So far and distant my heart feels,
from a love that now no longer heals.
Those lips that once touched mine with ease,
now sting my heart like a firey breeze.

No longer do you wipe away my tears,
or chase away all my fears.
Your soul that once reached out to me,
hides deep inside..how can it be?

A heart that once was so very kind,
turned stone cold is all I find.
Arms that once held me so very tight,
now hide from me in the night.

Stop this rain upon my heart,
love me now as you did from the start.
Take away these lonely days,
my heart still loves you in so many ways.
